Holy Light Church of Deliverance (“the church,” “we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through holylightchurchofdeliverance.org and our text messages, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us:

• Contact form — your name, email address, phone number and message.
• Prayer requests — your request, and your name, email and phone if you choose to share them.
• HLCD Notifications sign-up — your name, mobile number, and a record of your consent (the wording you agreed to and the date).
• Scholarship applications — the information and documents the application asks for.
• Ministry and College of Bible accounts — your name, email, phone number and a securely stored password.

When you submit a form, our server also records your IP address to help us block spam and abuse.

How we use it

We use your information to answer your messages, pray for your requests, send you the updates you asked for, run our ministries and College of Bible, and review scholarship applications. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Text messages

If you sign up for text messages, we use your mobile number only to send you the church updates you agreed to receive. You can reply STOP at any time to cancel, or HELP for help. See our SMS Terms for details.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We share your number only with the text-message provider that delivers our messages, and only for that purpose.

A phone number given on our contact or prayer forms is used only to reply to you. It is never added to our text message list.

Cookies

Our website uses a small session cookie so forms and sign-ins work securely. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics that follow you across other websites.

Other services

Some parts of the site use services run by others: videos from YouTube, fonts from Google Fonts, and online giving through Givelify, Cash App, Zelle and PayPal. When you use those, their own privacy policies apply. We never see your card or bank details when you give online.

How we protect it

Information you send us is kept on our secured website and seen only by the church staff and ministry leaders who need it. Prayer requests are kept separate from administrative messages. Passwords are stored as secure one-way hashes, never in plain text.

Children

Our website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Scholarship applications from students under 18 require a parent or guardian’s consent.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information you have given us, or stop text messages at any time by replying STOP. Contact the church office using the details below.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
